Myths and Legends

For 2024's major event, Soquili embarked on a journey through the rich tapestry of myths, legends, cultures, and cryptids from around the world. Inspired by these timeless stories and creatures, I dedicated countless hours to researching diverse mythologies, lore, and ancient civilizations, immersing myself in the fascinating histories behind them.

Using a large curated collection of lineart from the shop, I spliced and combined elements to craft unique, fantastical creatures. I hand-drew and shaded details to add fresh, distinctive qualities to each character. Additionally, I incorporated natural patterns and textures to evoke the mystical yet realistic essence of these mythological beings.

This project was a deeply enjoyable exploration of cultural storytelling and artistic experimentation, allowing me to blend research with imagination and bring these legendary creatures and cultural elements to life on the digital canvas.
